Ivy J Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026
Ivy J is an iPhone and Apple Watch app by Ivy J Jewelers. This page explains what the app does with your information. The short version: we do not collect it.
What we collect
Nothing. Ivy J has no accounts, no sign-in, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. We run no server that receives your data.
Your videos and photos
The videos and photos you add stay on your iPhone and on your paired Apple Watch. They are copied from your iPhone to your own Watch over the connection Apple provides between the two. They are not uploaded to us. If you add a video from a web link you type in, the app downloads it from that address.
Gambit, the voice assistant
- When you talk to Gambit, your Watch records your voice and sends it to your iPhone. Your iPhone turns the recording into text with Apple's speech recognition (on the device when your iPhone supports it).
- The text is answered by Apple's on-device AI when your iPhone supports it. Nothing leaves your iPhone in that case.
- If you choose to add your own Claude API key, the text of your question may be sent to Anthropic (api.anthropic.com), using your key, to get an answer. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to that request. We never see it.
- Your API key is stored only in your iPhone's Keychain.
- Recordings of your questions are saved on your Watch so you can play them back. You can turn this off in the assistant's settings and delete any recording.
Create with AI
Pictures are made by Apple's Image Playground, which runs on your iPhone.
Permissions the app asks for
- Photos: only the items you pick.
- Microphone (Watch): to hear your question for Gambit.
- Speech recognition: to turn your question into text.
Children
Ivy J does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
